THE EUROPEAN FRAME OF LANGUAGE LEARNING

JP Linguistics uses the European Frame Of Lnaugage Learning to create classes that will get you to speak fast. Below, you will find the levels we use.

A1

Refer to the discovery level (Niveau Découverte). It is usually understood that you are an A1 level when you have had no experience with French at all, or if you had between 1-3 years of French in High School. If you have taken 2 years of French in College (up to an “intermediate level,” please refer to the A2-B1 level).

A2

Refer to the survival level (Niveau de Survie). It is usually accepted that you are in the A2 level if you have completed at least 2 years of French in College, or you have completed the full A1 level.

B1

Refer to the Threshold level (Niveau Seuil). It is usually accepted that you are in the B1 level if you have completed at least 3 years of French in College or if you have completed the A1 and A2 level.

B2

It is usually accepted that you are in the B2 level if you have a total experience of at least 10 years in French (School and College) and if you have the ability to read, listen, or took French lessons; or if you have completed all the previous levels (A1, A2, and B1)
